The Global Interdisciplinary Pitch Competition for Students and Early-Career Professionals
Falling Walls Lab is an international pitch competition that challenges students and early-career professionals to present their breakthrough ideas in just three minutes.
Each year, renowned academic institutions around the world organise their own Falling Walls Labs to showcase the quality, diversity, and passion of their region’s most innovative minds. Participants from around the world share their research — connecting disciplines, cultures, and 100 Finalists qualify for the global finale in Berlin on 6 November.
The project is powered by a strong network of partners from academia, science, and diplomacy. A key supporter is the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), which funds 30 of the 81 international Labs. Additional partners include the Federal Ministry of Education, Research and Innovation, Technology and Space, the Berlin Senate, the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, and leading universities and research institutions worldwide.
LAB SEASON 2025 HAS BEGUN
Students and early-career professionals of all disciplines are invited to apply to international Falling Walls Labs starting on 15 February 2025.
