As part of the Falling Walls Global Call for Science Breakthroughs, we invite prominent figures in science and academia globally to nominate recent breakthroughs and exceptional science projects across nine categories, including science start-ups. The most promising 25 companies are invited to pitch at the Falling Walls Science Summit.
Why you should apply:
- Get selected as one of our 25 Venture Finalists, participate in the Falling Walls Science Summit in Berlin from 6 to 9 November, and have your accommodation and travel costs covered
- Pitch your work to a distinguished jury, global leaders and a selected audience during the Falling Walls Venture Pitches on 6 November
- Become the Falling Walls Science Start-up of the Year and pitch again to a larger audience on the Falling Walls Breakthrough Day on 9 November
- Get the chance to win an investment opportunity or a coaching prize
- Expand your network with investors and corporates and become a part of the Falling Walls Community

INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES 2026
Our 25 Finalists have the chance to win an investment opportunity (subject to due diligence) with the funds listed below. This includes meeting with interested funds to receive feedback and determine whether there is mutual interest in a potential investment.
COACHING PRIZES 2026
Our 25 Finalists can furthermore win one or more of the coaching prizes listed below.
