Energy Transition in Europe: Squaring the Circle

We need to transition towards a clean energy supply that is stable, secure and affordable. Renewable energies have become cost-competitive, but many technologies need to be integrated into the future net-zero supply and distribution system. The energy transition poses a huge socio-techno-economic challenge, and solutions need to be found at the EU level. This Plenary Table gathers interdisciplinary experts from science, industry and policy to “square the circle” and drive a successful energy transition.
