Bhargavee Gnanasambandam is a medical student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She received her BS/MS in biomedical engineering at Case Western Reserve University. During her time volunteering in the community as an undergraduate, she often met patients with advanced disease due to challenges both accessing or understanding the results of screening tests. These patients have fueled many of her goals today. She hopes to have a career as a physician innovator by combining her experiences in medicine and engineering to build innovative solutions to improve patient outcomes. She began Cervicare to decrease the high rates of cervical cancer.
