Octavio Aburto

Octavio Aburto is a Full Professor at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, a National Geographic Explorer, and a PEW Marine Fellow. His research and photography focus on marine reserves and sustainable fisheries. He earned his PhD at Scripps and received the Jean Fort Award for work of public relevance. He is also a member of the International League of Conservation Photographers.
