Just log in to the event here, check out our “How to move around”-help desk, choose a seat or just have a look around – and of course enjoy two hours of exciting lectures broadcasted by the Science Summit livestream.

The concept of the metaverse is still evolving. Nobody can deny that it already plays an important role in the present, in the field of science in particular. These digital and virtual worlds provide news ways to connect and share experiences – especially for future education, for science, for events like the Falling Walls Science Summit. Just one example: Experiencing science through virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) makes a lot of topics more accessible, practical, and interactive. This also applies to the rest of the STEM disciplines like technology, engineering and mathematics. By joining the Metaverse these scientific areas will be more relevant to a broader group of scientists. One advantage: They can research more efficient in the simulation and without the restrictions or costs of the physical lab. And it will guarantee completely new synchronous working methods in scientific work.

“The Metaverse offers opportunities for science communication on a whole a new level. The virtual 3D Watch Event of the Falling Walls Science Summit on 9 November invites science enthusiasts and future thinkers to engage with the world’s brightest minds and learn about their science breakthroughs. Together we break the wall between virtuality and reality”, says Dr. Imke Rajamani, Managing Director at Falling Walls Foundation.

The Falling Walls Foundation hosts this amazing experience in the Metaverse together with UNYTED Ltd, a Metaverse-as-a-Server-provider. UNYTED Ltd. is creating and supporting a multiverse of interconnected 3-D virtual worlds, accessible for everyone, by everyone, on any device. https://unyted.space.
Gaby K. Slezak, Co-founder of UNYTED: “Scientific breakthroughs impact everyone’s life, and that’s why we think it should be celebrated together in the nascent Metaverse, with like-minded people who can’t be in Berlin.”
