Petra Schleiter

Prof Petra Schleiter is the founding Director of the Centre for Democratic Resilience at the University of Oxford. With over 60 publications, her work has shaped scholarly and policy debates on democratic institutions, party competition, political behaviour, and policy reform. She regularly serves as an expert witness for policymakers and advised the Irish Citizens’ Assembly in 2018. She has held visiting fellowships at Sciences Po (2026), the Institute for Advanced Study in Berlin (2024-25), and the Constitution Unit at University College London (since 2015).
