Constantin Häfner

Prof. Constantin Haefner is the Director of Fraunhofer ILT and has recently been selected EVP for Research and Transfer at Fraunhofer Society. Prior to joining Fraunhofer, he was Program Director at NIF&PS at LLNL. Haefner chaired the BMBF Inertial Fusion Energy (IFE) expert commission and was recently honored by Fusion Power Associates for his leadership in fusion energy. He is a globally recognized expert in laser and optical technology development, particularly for applications in IFE.
