Ewold Verhagen is group leader of the Photonic Forces group at the NWO institute AMOLF, and part‐time professor in the department of Applied Physics and Science Education at Eindhoven University of Technology. His group studies light‐matter interactions in nanophotonic systems. His research interests range from quantum nano‐optomechanics to nonreciprocity and topological photonics. Throughout his career, he made numerous contributions to the fields of metamaterials, nanophotonics, and nanomechanics. He leads the Nanophotonics center at AMOLF and is also the head of the AMOLF NanoLab Amsterdam.
