Dr. Nina Rawal heads the Life Science investment team at Industrifonden, a €500 million venture capital fund, and serves on the boards of several portfolio companies. Previously, she held the position of Vice President of Strategy and Ventures at Gambro. Additional experience includes Swecare Foundation, and The Boston Consulting Group in Stockholm and New York.
On a pro bono basis, she acts as advisor to Médecins Sans Frontières’ Innovation Unit and serves on the boards of Stockholms Sjukhem, a charitable hospital, and Cirkus Cirkör, a contemporary circus company. Nina has a Master of Science in biomedicine and a PhD in molecular neurobiology, both from Karolinska Institutet, with research work done at Hôpital la Salpêtrière in Paris and Columbia University in New York. Recognition for her work includes the selection as a Young Global Leader (World Economic Forum), and ‘40 under 40 – European Young Leaders’ (EuropaNova/Friends of Europe).
