Yousif Al-Waeli

Yousif Al-Waeli is an architectural engineer (University of Baghdad, 2022) and works at Bayaty Architects in Abu Dhabi. Passionate about Iraqi heritage and climate issues, he co-founded Iraq’s first architectural organisation in 2024 to preserve Iraqi identity and address climate change challenges through sustainable architecture. He has won multiple awards, including being among the top 50 graduation projects in the world out of 570 participants, and placing in the top 20 in the Dewan Award for his sustainable urban design of Al-Daker.
