Wolfgang Wick

Professor Dr Wolfgang Wick has been Chairman of the German Humanities and Science Council (WR) since 2023 and Chairman of the Council's Committee of Medicine since 2022. He is Medical Director of General Neurology and holds the Chair of Neurology with a focus on Neuro-Oncology at Heidelberg University Hospital. He is also the centre spokesperson for the Heidelberg Head Clinic and head of the Department of Neuro-Oncology at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ). His research focuses on brain tumors, tumor immunology, biomarker development, imaging, and stroke care, among other areas.
