Thorsten Feichtner is a Habilitation candidate in experimental physics at the University of Würzburg, coming back to the place of his PhD after stations at the Max-Planck-Institute for the Science of Light, the Helmholz-Zentrum Berlin and the Politecnico di Milano (for a MSCA Individual Fellowship). He is interested in Plasmonics, the science of light coupled to charge density waves and the resulting enhancement of light-matter-coupling. His fundamental research on electrical connected optical antennas is aimed for applications in sensing, optical switching and photo-electrochemistry.
