Thomas Zurbuchen

Thomas Zurbuchen is an astrophysicist, innovation leader, and former Associate Administrator for NASA’s Science Mission Directorate, where he oversaw one of the world’s most ambitious portfolios of scientific exploration. During his tenure, NASA launched and advanced landmark missions including the James Webb Space Telescope, Mars 2020, and the Parker Solar Probe, helping expand humanity’s understanding of the universe and our place within it.

Now Professor of Space Science and Technology at ETH Zurich and head of ETH Zurich Space, Zurbuchen continues to advance interdisciplinary research, entrepreneurship, and global collaboration in space science and innovation.
