Thomas Gudermann is Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of LMU Munich and Chairman of the Executive Board of M1 - Munich Medicine Alliance, a close strategic partnership of both Munich universities, university hospitals, and Helmholtz Munich. By training he is a physician and Professor and Chair of Pharmacology and Toxicology. His research focuses on molecular pharmacology, specifically on cellular signal transduction. Since 2009 he is member of the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina.
