Thibault Vervenne

Thibault Vervenne is fascinated by the interface of engineering, medicine and material science, specialising in the biomechanics of the cardiovascular system. In his PhD research at KU Leuven, he combines computer models and simulations in soft tissue biomechanics with clinical applications of cardiac surgery, and the production of biodegradable polymers as medical devices. Currently, he is visiting the Living Matter Lab at Stanford University, expanding into neural network applications.
