Tanja Rosenmund is the director of the SPARK-BIH program with the mission of accelerating the translation of biomedical discoveries into real-world healthcare solutions for patient and societal benefit. She combines scientific expertise, entrepreneurial thinking, and innovation leadership to bridge the gap between research and patient impact. As a trained neuroscientist, she worked in basic research for 15+ years at different Max-Planck Institutions in Germany as well as at Baylor College of Medicine in the USA. She co-founded the SPARK program in Berlin in 2015 and build a branch supporting projects in frame with the National Strategy for gene- and cell-based therapies in 2024. Tanja holds a PhD and an MBA from the ESMT in Berlin and is passionate about supporting innovators.
