Stefan Leible

Prof. Stefan Leible is President of the University of Bayreuth and Professor of Civil Law, Private International Law, and Comparative Law.

He studied and completed his academic training in law at the University of Bayreuth, where he also earned his doctorate and habilitation. Since 2006, he has held a chair in Civil Law, International Private Law, and Comparative Law at the university.

Prof. Leible’s research and teaching focus on civil law, business law, European law, and comparative legal studies. In addition to his role as university president, he directs research centers in business, media, and food law.
