Sicco Lehmann-Brauns

Dr. Sicco Lehmann-Brauns is Senior Director Research and Innovation Policy in Technology and Innovation Management at Siemens AG, where he works on topics related to innovation systems, data economy, artificial intelligence and new digital business models. He is currently chair of the ZVEI working group "Data Economy and Artificial Intelligence", co-chair of the BDI working group "Data Economy" and member of the expert group of the "Zukunftsrat" of the German Federal Government. Currently, he is very passionate about the Industrial Metaverse and it’s opportunities to increase productivity and sustainability at the same time. Sicco has professional experience in various functions in technology and innovation management, science-based policy consulting as well as in technology and science management. Before joining Siemens AG, he held leading positions at the German Academy of Science and Engineering (acatech) and the Max Planck Society, among others. He studied philosophy of science and is a lecturer at the Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR) where he teaches open innovation strategies and digital business models.
