Shiming Zhang

Dr. Shiming Zhang received his BSc and MSc from Jilin University, his Ph.D. from Université de Montréal, and postdoctoral training at UCLA. He joined the University of Hong Kong in 2020 as Assistant Professor, where he leads the Wearable, Intelligent and Soft Electronics (HKU-WISE) group in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. His group is known for the discovery of macroscopic semiconductor phenomena in three-dimensional soft materials, the invention of 3D hydrogel semiconductors, and the demonstration of living transistor technologies for tissue-integratable medical electronics.
