Shalva Iashvili

Shalva Iashvili is an agritech entrepreneur and founder of Bio Shield, a start-up developing circular, organic edible coatings from agricultural waste to prevent post-harvest decay during the transport of fresh fruit. By replacing synthetic chemical fungicides, Shalva’s innovation helps exporters reduce food waste and improve access to EU markets. He is a finalist at the Falling Walls Global Lab Finale 2026, representing Georgia.
