Sam Gill

Samsher (Sam) Singh Gill is President and CEO of the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation (DDCF), overseeing programs in the performing arts, medical research, the environment, and child well-being. He also leads affiliated foundations including the Duke Farms Foundation and the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art.

Before joining DDCF, Gill was Senior Vice President and Chief Program Officer at the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. He has served on the boards of the Frost Museum of Science and the Commission on the Practice of Democratic Citizenship. Gill studied at the University of Chicago and the University of Oxford, where he was a Rhodes Scholar.
