Rony Pain

Rony Pain is a PhD student in the department of Cell Biology and the University of Alberta. He earned his BSc at the University of Alberta and then transitioned into his graduate studies. Rony is currently working in Dr Luc Berthiaume’s laboratory, where he investigates the effect of a new, investigational cancer drug, PCLX-001, on breast cancer metastasis and relapse. Rony has received prestigious awards, such as the Sir Frederick Banting and Dr. Charles Best Canada Graduate Scholarship. He enjoys attending conferences and seminars to learn more about how he can make a strong impact on society through his research.
