Dr. Ricarda Gaentzsch is a genetic scientist and bioinformatician by training with over a decade of experience spanning the field of biomedical research, scientific project management, software development and IT innovations for genomic medicine.
With her broad range of technical and analytical skills, Dr. Gaentzsch has conducted rigorous scientific research as a PhD and Postdoc, earning her PhD in Clinical Laboratory from the University of Oxford studying DNA methylation as an epigenetic mechanism of human gene regulation. Keen to apply her genomics expertise to help solve real-world problems at scale, she went on to develop innovative software solutions that accelerate drug discovery and improve patient care.
In her current role as Principal at IQVIA she leads IQVIA’s Genomic & Precision Medicine Center of Excellence (EMEA), spearheading the company's genomic data, technology and lab strategy focusing on clients from Payer, Provider and Government space. With an understanding of market needs and trends, Dr. Gaentzsch offers advice globally on healthcare IT solutions and services that allow the generation of linked clinico-genomic Real-World Data.
Passionate about the application of genomic technology to accelerate drug discovery and improve patient care, Dr. Gaentzsch combines her genomics expertise with her IT background to help solve real-world problems in Precision Health.
