Philippe Chomaz

Philippe Chomaz is a French physicist and Executive Scientific Director at the CEA’s Directorate for Fundamental Research. He previously served as Director of the Institute for Research on the Fundamental Laws of the Universe (IRFU) and has held leadership roles at the GANIL heavy-ion accelerator. His research focuses on nuclear physics and collective modes in atomic nuclei. In addition to his scientific work, he is active in science communication, founding initiatives such as Bars des Sciences and Relais d’Sciences.
