Patrick Bräutigam

Patrick Bräutigam is a technical environmental chemist with a specialization in water technology. He is Director of the Institute of Water Technology and Environmental Research and Professor of Technical Environmental Chemistry and Sensor Technology at the University of Stuttgart.
His research focusses on innovative solutions for the purification and analysis of water – particularly with regard to emerging pollutants, such as organic micropollutants or microplastics. He combines process engineering with environmental analytics, sensor technology, and methods of artificial intelligence.
