Paola Laurino

Paola Laurino is a chemist specializing in protein engineering and evolutionary biochemistry. After earning her Ph.D. from ETH Zurich, she held EMBO and FEBS fellowships at the Weizmann Institute. Now Associate Professor at OIST, she leads interdisciplinary research on enzyme evolution and molecular innovation. She is also a recognized mentor, awarded OIST’s Excellence in Mentoring Award for her inclusive and supportive leadership.
