Paloma Zubieta Lopez

Paloma Zubieta Lopez is a biologist, science communicator and researcher.  Since 2010, she has worked as a science communicator at UNAM's Institute of Mathematics where she developed Festival Matemático, a big-scale science fair dedicated to disseminate the passion for mathematics to various audiences in Mexico City and other Mexican states. Paloma is also in charge of a social service program on mathematics outreach as well as a Communication Subject in the Faculty of Sciences at UNAM for mathematicians and physicists. She conducts research in science communication and evaluation, and has taught various courses and workshops on dissemination and evaluation of science communication projects in Mexico, Costa Rica and England, together with Dr. Eric Jensen. At the Latin American Institute for Educational Communication (ILCE), she was part of the academic team responsible for the design, implementation and development of materials for the "New Pedagogical Model of Telesecundaria" and also served as editor of the series of books in the Science area.
