Oliver Günther

Oliver Günther is President of Universität Potsdam. Before that he served as Professor of Information Systems at HU Berlin. Visiting appointments at UC Berkeley, ESMT, ESCP, and U. Cape Town. He holds M.S./Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from UC Berkeley and a Diplom in Industrial Engineering from KIT. His research is on IT strategy, data protection, and information security. Prof. Günther is a GI Fellow and a member of Acatech. He holds an honorary doctorate from American Jewish University.
