Nora Kottmann

Nora Kottmann is Head of the Team Societal Transformations at Volkswagen Foundation and committed to evidence‑based approaches to anticipating, addressing, and shaping societal change. She is passionate about strengthening diversity, fostering trans-sectoral exchange, and advancing the global engagement strategy of the foundation. Before joining the foundation, Nora was Principal Researcher and Head of Research Group at the German Institute for Japanese Studies in Tokyo (Max Weber Foundation). She holds a PhD from Düsseldorf University and has worked at universities across Europe and Asia.
