Nicole Elleuche

Nicole Elleuche is Managing and Administrative Director of the European X-Ray Free-Electron Laser Facility, a world-leading research centre generating ultrashort X-ray flashes a billion times brighter than conventional sources. She leads 600 staff from around 70 countries and manages an annual budget of 160 million euros. Formerly with the Hamburg Leibniz Institute for Experimental Virology and the Hamburg Ministry of Science, she holds a PhD in microbiology and an MBA in Science and Research Management.
