Nicola Fuchs-Schündeln

Nicola Fuchs-Schündeln is President of the WZB Berlin Social Science Center and Professor of Macroeconomics and Development at Goethe University Frankfurt. She received her PhD in economics from Yale University and was assistant professor of economics at Harvard University. 

Nicola Fuchs-Schündeln is director of the macroeconomics and growth programme at the Centre for Economic Policy Research and elected fellow of the Econometric Society. In 2018, she received the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize, the highest scientific award in Germany. She is a member of the Leopoldina and of the Scientific Advisory Boards of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and the Bundesbank.
