Mout De Vrieze

Mout De Vrieze is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Fribourg. She completed her studies in bioengineering before completing a PhD in microbiology on exploring the potential of potato-associated microorganisms to combat the infamous potato late blight disease. She then ventured to Wageningen, working as a phytopathologist and broadening her horizons by working on various other crops and diseases. As a postdoctoral researcher, she is dedicated to converting her research into practical solutions and is in the process of developing a project for the creation of a spin-off, which aims to develop microorganism-based environmentally friendly alternatives to chemical pesticides.
