Michelle Steven

Michelle Steven is pursuing a PhD in physiology, specialising in oncology at the University of Pretoria, focusing on a novel breast cancer diagnostic tool for Southern African women. Using AI, the tool detects early-stage cancer from a single vial of blood by comparing circulating tumor DNA to normal cell-free DNA. Michelle holds an MSc in physiology, specialising in neuroendocrinology, and a BSc in genetics, psychology, and physiology obtained from the University of Pretoria.
