Michelle Hastings

Dr. Hastings is the Pfizer Upjohn Professor of Pharmacology, University of Michigan and Director of the Nucleic Acid Therapeutics Core. Her research explores basic mechanisms of gene expression that can be targeted for RNA-based therapies. Work from her lab has resulted in development of the ASO medicine, Zebronkysen, that is being used to treat CLN3 Batten disease. She is currently developing ASOs to treat a number of rare genetic diseases.
