Michael Baumann

Michael Baumann is Chair of the Management Board and Scientific Director of the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg. He serves as spokesperson of the German Cancer Consortium (DKTK), co-spokesperson of the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT) and co-chair of the Strategy Committee of the German National Decade against Cancer. He is a key leader in establishing the National Cancer Prevention Center (NCPC).
As a radiation oncologist, he has advanced the translation of new biological findings into radiation therapy and received numerous awards for his scientific achievements.
