Menahem Ben-Sasson, The Department of Jewish History, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The focus of his research has been the social and intellectual history of Medieval Jewry in Muslim lands from the 7th to the 15th centuries. This period includes both the Golden Era of Jewish culture in Islamic lands (8th-11th Centuries) and the era of the decline of Judaic culture from the 12th century onwards. His current research is dedicated to Maimonidean Dynasty (1140-1410) and to Apocalyptical works of the 7-10 centuries.
