Melanie Woodin is an internationally recognized neuroscientist and the 17th President of the University of Toronto. A Professor of Cell & Systems Biology and former Dean of U of T’s Faculty of Arts & Science, she advances innovative teaching, inclusive communities, and student career development, having launched the Arts & Science Internship Program. She led the Faculty’s Acceleration Consortium to a $200M award—the largest federal research grant to a Canadian university—and serves on several boards including SickKids and Fulbright Canada.
