Maximilian Schiffer

Maximilian Schiffer is Co-Founder of Praedon, a deep-tech start-up he founded alongside Axel Parmentier, Professor at Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris). Praedon develops AI solutions to optimise complex industrial decisions, combining machine learning and operations research. He is also Associate Professor of Information Systems and Operations Management at HEC Paris, where he holds the Hi! PARIS Chair in Artificial Intelligence for Decision Making in Business. Before joining HEC Paris in 2026, he was a tenured Professor at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). He holds a PhD in Operations Research from RWTH Aachen University and was a visiting postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University.
