Mary Maxon

Mary Maxon is Executive Vice President of Carnegie Science. Previously she was Associate Laboratory Director at Berkeley National Lab and has held leadership positions in industry and science philanthropy. She was Assistant Director for Biological Research under President Obama and wrote the National Bioeconomy Blueprint. She is a member of the International Advisory Council on Global Bioeconomy, a committee member of the OECD’s Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, and Converging Technologies Working Party, and is subject matter expert for the National Security Commission on Emerging Biotechnology.
