Mark Andries

Mark Andries began his career in 1991 as a research assistant at the Center for Social Policy at the University of Antwerp. In 1997 he joined the employers' organization VEV (now VOKA), where he became Deputy Director in 2001.  In 2004 he became Head of Cabinet of Geert Bourgeois, minister and from 2014 minister-president of the Government of Flanders. As from 1st January 2019 he is Administrator General of VLAIO, the agency that fosters entrepreneurship and innovation in Flanders. In 2026, he will be the Chair of TAFTIE, he European Network of leading national innovation agencies.
