María Cristina Díaz Velázquez

María Cristina is a Social Communicator with 25 years of experience from Universidad del Valle and Universidad Internacional de Andalucía and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. An expert in cultural and creative projects and consulting for organisations like OEA-Brazil, she has led STI appropriation projects, advised Colombian Science Centres, and developed museum policies. As Executive Director at Fundación Amigos de las Colecciones de Arte del Banco de la República, she established CSR networks.

CiuLab Bogotá enhances participatory research in social sciences and humanities by enabling citizen science projects and creating an online hub for experts and citizen scientists. Developed with the Bogotá Urban Development Institute, it provides a platform for citizens and the government to address local issues. It focuses on coexistence, urban landscapes, circular economy, and sustainable mobility, aiming to drive civic engagement and a cultural shift toward sustainability.
