Luca Ferrero

Luca Ferrero research involves the study of the atmospheric aerosol along vertical profiles linking chemical composition, size distribution to optical properties (from Europe till the Arctic). He developed new methods for the aerosol effect on climate. He studied the aerosol hygroscopicity applied to the effects of atmospheric particles on cultural heritage (e.g. "Last Supper") and industrial heritage (data centers); he participated in research related to the biological effect of aerosol, the emission sources and the partitioning between gaseous and particle phase of semi-volatile compounds.
