Lander Van Belleghem

Lander Van Belleghem is a PhD researcher at the university of KU Leuven. As a chemical engineer, he focuses on the chemical recycling of polymers, with a focus on polyurethane. His work on selective elastane depolymerisation tackles a critical bottleneck in the circular economy, enabling the recovery of materials that would otherwise be landfilled or incinerated. Collectively, Lander’s research bridges the gap between innovation and industrial-scale textile sustainability.
