Klaus Kopka is a globally recognized scientist in translational Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry and Radionuclide Theranostics. He is Institute Director of the HZDR Institute of Radiopharmaceutical Cancer Research and Professor at TU Dresden. Previously, he was Professor and Division Head at DKFZ Heidelberg (2013–2019). He is a Founding Member of the Radiopharmacy Cluster Dresden (nukliD) (2025). He is co-inventor of the approved PSMA radioligands Radelumin® and Pluvicto®, work which earned him the Erwin Schrödinger Prize together with his colleagues M. Eisenhut, M. Eder and U. Haberkorn (2018).
