Karina Dueñas-Parro

Karina Dueñas-Parro is a PhD candidate in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at IQS, Ramon Llull University. She develops light-activated, cellulose-based therapies to treat and prevent skin infections that no longer respond to antibiotics. Her work bridges antimicrobial photodynamic therapy, materials science and early-stage technology transfer, with a strong focus on developing accessible, resistance-proof medical solutions.
