Judy Ann Cocadiz

Judy is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Otago, where she develops novel technologies to improve cancer detection using circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA). She completed a BSc in Biochemistry at the University of the Philippines, followed by an MSc and PhD at the University of Otago. Supported by Cancer Society New Zealand, she leads the development of a portable device for enhanced ctDNA capture directly from the bloodstream, enabling earlier detection, improved treatment monitoring and more equitable, accessible cancer care.
