Joseph Bedard

2023 Winner Lab Atlantic Canada

Joseph Bedard is a polymer and materials scientist with a focus on the integration of circularity into performance textiles. He obtained his Ph.D. at Dalhousie University, in Canada, where his dissertation focused on the development and study of novel, nitrogen-derived plastics. He obtained his M.Sc. and B.Sc. from Toronto Metropolitan University, where his research focused on the development of antimicrobial materials and plastics. Joe is currently a materials scientist at SRTX in Montreal, Canada.

Joseph Bedard is a Falling Walls Science Breakthrough of the Year 2023 in the Emerging Talents category.
