Johanna Koehler

As Associate Professor of Environmental Risk Governance Johanna strives to understand how the perception and portrayal of environmental crises influence the potential of societies to realise sustainability transformations. Her research as VENI & VIDI Laureate of the Dutch Research Council's Talent Programme advances how global water crises can be tackled through designing innovative governance arrangements that combine contrasting ways of organising risks across the state, market and civil society. She is co-founder/trustee of FundiFix Trust providing water services to 80,000 people in Kenya.
