Joachim Schultze

Joachim Schultze is the Scientific Director of DZNE and the Helmholtz Program Speaker on Neurodegeneration and Brain Health. He is a renowned international expert applying AI and data science approaches to biomedical questions. Trained in immunology, he contributed to the understanding of major immune mechanisms of infections such as COVID but also chronic non-communicable diseases. He is also the inventor of Swarm Learning, a technology that has the potential to accelerate the use of AI in medicine.
